Greetings!
It is about time I popped in to give an update on the site! The final chapter of The Consort: Hummingbird Circus is about halfway completed, but at the moment it is paused because I have begun reworking The Sins and Sorrows of Albus Dumbledore. You may notice that there is a construction sign on the master post for that fic, and that is because the re-working includes a lot of shifting around and expanding. The fic is available in its original form for the moment, I will not be posting individual teasers for the re-worked chapters, even for the new prologue, but I may post another bulletin when it's all settled. Those are the two major projects for the summer.

Okay, since I have pretty much spent the entire day playing in this lj, uploading the soundtrack to The Consort (and finally figuring out how to make it into a single folder!) and organizing stuff, I find I am suffering from a distinct need to beautify this space. I am having trouble finding good icons and Banners, however. If you know of ANY good LJ banners (HP related, naturally) or icons, please point me in the direction! |

Up until this point, seeing as the site was (and is still) under construction, it has been entirely open with no little hoops to jump through to get to anything it has to offer. I've been giving it some thought, and based on my own experience surfing through LJ, I really hate when fanfiction is closed-off to friends only and the like, so no worries I definitely will not be doing that. I will, however, be closing-off certain aspects of the site that as of yet have not even been posted but which I have always had in the works.
Allow me to explain. I have made reference before to certain bonus materials that I have been working on to accompany some of my fics. The poetry referenced in Life, As Experienced Through Your Fingers, soundtracks for fics and the like. This is merely done to prevent any possible problems that might arise, and not as a way of excluding or anything, so really, do not worry about it. If you are interested in accessing this material, please drop a little message in the post (the link follows) and let me know, and I will add you right away!!

| Holiday Greetings! and also ... The Consort |

Hello everyone!
I am popping in to drop a little message wishing everyone the happiest of holidays, and also to say that *gasp* The Consort: Hummingbird Circus is coming to an end. The final chapter is about halfway done and though it is not near-enough complete for me to post a teaser, I thought it was close enough that should assure everyone that I have not forgotten this site. The final chapter, as it is mainly an epilogue sort of thing, filling in some scenes we did not see in chapter 9, as well as wrapping things up for the boys, will be somewhat shorter than previous chapters. I promise not to rush through anything, or give one of those summary epilogues that are so brutal to read.
Following its completion here, I will proceed to edit it and make it respectable, and also make certain it is appearing in its edited form on other sites. There will not be any extended scenes or revisits to this world once it is complete, but if you have any questions, please post them here and I will make-up a Q/A as I did for Life: As Experienced Through Your Fingers. In addition, I intend to post a soundtrack for this fic, that will also include the songs that I imagine the preview might feature, were this ever an epic movie (ha ha). At the moment this has been delayed due to my general ineptitude with regards to computers -- if anyone knows how to group a bunch of songs together and post them to be downloaded as a whole, please let me know -- is it as simple as putting them all in a file together and then posting that file?
I am aiming to be done this fic before the new year, but I am not certain how I will fair on this front. We'll just have to see... |
